Genealogy of the Seguin Family

Hello everyone

My subject....my great-grand-father  Abraham Joseph Séguin

He was born in Rigaud Vaudreuil area in 1862, son of Abraham Séguin

My question to all of you ....does anyone know what happened to him between 1893 and 1900

Those are the years we believe he died either in Rigaud or on border

He was married to Emilia Blay and father of 17 children, but only 4 survived to adult age

The Hudson Hosiery Company Limited.

Started by a group of local entrepreneurs just before World War II, The Hudson Hosiery Co. Ltd. was for many years the only full time industry in the Town (the ice harvesting operations on the Lake of Two Mountains being seasonal) until it was destroyed by fire in March 1965. During its peak years, the "Hosiery" employed some 100 or so local residents.

Le Raconteur

As some of you know, over the years, I have been writing a series of vignettes on a variety of subjects. Pressed by Kevin to publish one or two of them as an inaugural venture on the new website of the Hudson Historical Society, I offer you a glimpse into a New Year's evening at my uncle Alphée's home in Alstonvale.
