(texte francais suit)The Hudson Historical Society is proud to announce the November meeting will feature a presentation about the Battle at Passchendaele by the award winning author and historian, David O’Keefe.
David R. O'Keefe is a historian, professor of history, television presenter, documentarian, creator, host, writer, producer and best-selling author and a local resident as well.

S/L Peter Roper will be talking about his experiences as a WWII Typhoon pilot and especially his adventure over Normandy on D Day+1 when he was shot down and captured.
His presentation at 6 pm on the 7th June is exactly the 71st anniversary of the event.
The RMR Foundation and Canada Company <http://www.canadacompany.ca/> are hosting a movie night in Montreal on Thursday 09 April 2015 at the Cineplex Odeon Forum (Ste-Catherine/Atwater).

Our guest speaker in February will be the ever popular David O’Keefe who will speak about the preparation behind his latest book ‘One day in August – The Untold Story Behind Canada’s Tragedy at Dieppe’. David will bring along copies of his book for sale following the presentation.

The Siberian Expeditionary Force:A (Nearly) Forgotten Episode of WWI Long-time residents of Hudson remember Frank Wilson. Born in 1890, the youngest of James and Carolyn Wilson of Cote St. Charles' nine children, Frank was one of the large contingent of local men who answered the call to defend King and Empire in the Great War. He survived, returned to the Cote, but soon left for Ottawa where he learned the trade of carpentry. Two decades of work in Detroit followed.
